Weekend Mobile Phone Photography Workshops in Devon

Improve your smartphone photography while exploring beautiful Devon landscapes

If you’d like an excuse to spend a weekend in beautiful Devon locations while improving your phone photography, this workshop is for you. Over two days we’ll focus mainly on landscapes, but you’ll also learn phone features and simple techniques that work just as well for people, pets and everyday scenes. Using the camera that’s always in your pocket, we’ll keep things practical and jargon‑free, with short indoor sessions at Mazzard Farm and plenty of relaxed shooting time out on the coast and Dartmoor. You’ll come away with stronger images, more confidence with your phone’s camera and a clearer idea of how to keep improving.

Exceptional training

I specialise in helping photographers who are beyond the basics and want to keep developing their skills in a calm, straightforward way, without unnecessary jargon. Group sizes are capped at six, so there’s plenty of time for individual help and questions, and these improver weekends consistently receive five‑star feedback from past participants.

Experience Devon and beyond

Over the weekend we’ll visit a wide range of coastal and countryside locations in East Devon and nearby West Dorset, with a full day usually dedicated to Dartmoor (weather permitting). As a Devon‑based landscape specialist I know a mix of beautiful, characterful locations that are ideal for developing your landscape photography, giving you plenty of time on location to put your skills into practice.

Student feedback

“Gary is a friendly, professional and knowledgeable photographer who provides a well‑balanced, engaging course. He took time to understand everyone’s experience and set a comfortable pace, with a good mix of clear theory, practical exercises and a coastal field trip to put it all into practice. I found the weekend great value for money and came away feeling like a much better photographer”, Darren, Google review
